Barbara Ann Scheeler, 81, a Ft. Myers, FL resident since 2014, formerly of Pembroke Pines, FL passed away Monday, January 7, 2018 in Ft. Myers, FL. She was born October 24, 1937 in Pompton Lakes, NJ to Herbert and Josephine Lyman, now deceased.Barbara and her husband owned and operated Smitty’s Produce for many years in Pembroke Pines, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Benjamin, Jr.; her son, George Benjamin, III and her son-in-law, Robert Martin.Barbara is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Martin of Ft. Myers, FL; brother, Herbert Lyman, Jr. and his wife, Carolyn of Jupiter, FL; two grandchildren, Robert and Ashley; two great grandchildren, Brody and Anna; one niece, Caren; one nephew, Herbert Lyman, III; as well as several extended family members and friends.A Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Hollywood Memorial Gardens, 3001 N 72nd Avenue, Hollywood, FL 33024.Arrangements for final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
