Barbara Lee Strickland's Obituary
Barbara Lee Johnson Strickland, 92 of North Fort Myers, FL passed away on January 8th, 2023. She was born in Lee County on August 9th, 1930 to Sidney and Annie Johnson, now deceased. She was the granddaughter of Frank and Mollie Johnson who came to Mound Key in 1891 from Europe.
Bobbie as she was known to most, was a faithful follower of Christ and attended North Fort Myers Church of God. She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother who found joy in cooking and fishing with her family. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, three brothers, husband Dan, granddaughter Dodie, and daughter-in-law Treena.
She is survived by her four sons, Lonnie, James, Butch (Kim), and Phillip; four grandchildren, David, Justin, Sierra, and Kaydan; four great grandchildren, Scottie, Skylar, Haylee, and June; two great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Funeral Service for Barbara will be Celebrated at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2023 by Pastor Bill Roan of the New Testament Baptist Church. This ceremony will take place inside the Meditation Garden at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. At the conclusion of this service, Barbara will be laid to rest alongside her dearly departed husband Dan, Sr.
