Bertha Gertrude Livingston died peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, March 7, 2015 following a recent illness. She was 101 years old.Bertha was born September 2, 1913 in Blockton, Iowa, the beautiful daughter of Bertha (Shapley) and Jesse Wintermute. She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell in 1997.A Visitation for Bertha will be held on from 1:00 – 1:30 PM on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 935-0555. A Memorial Service will be celebrated immediately thereafter at 1:30 PM also in the funeral home chapel. Entombment at the Chapel of Light on the grounds of Memorial Gardens Cemetery will take place upon the conclusion of services and Bertha will be laid to rest beside her loving husband Lowell.Arrangements for Bertha’s final care have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery.
