Bette lived her life with an open heart and a radiant spirit that drew people to her wherever she went. She had a deep appreciation for life’s simple joys—especially the warmth of the sun on her face, which became a symbol of her optimism and enduring energy. She loved to travel and made it to 48/50 states. She had many talents that she used in the hospitality industry, travel industry, retail and child care. She was very crafty, enjoyed camping, especially at Higgins Lake, and she was always smiling. Her favorite greeting was “Hello Sunshine! How are you doing?”

She had a gift for turning ordinary moments into meaningful memories and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She is deeply missed and forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who were touched by her light. In honoring Bette’s life, we remember her not only for who she was, but for the love she gave so freely—a love that will continue to shine, just like the sun she so dearly cherished.
