From the moment I was 1st introduced to Betty & Mr Duncan back in the late 80’s @ their home down the street off Englewood, I was taken in by their warm nature, humor, & their Love for others and for each other. This was still apparent many years later as I watched them celebrate their 50th & dance to the song (if I remember correctly) “When you say nothing at all”. Even in the last few times I seen Betty through the years…she always made you feel welcome, asked me about my boys, and made me feel like extended family. Her Great Love for her Children, Grandchildren, extended family and for my dear friend (her former daughter in law, Linda, who would take me to see her), showed the depth of the Love and Kindness within her. Although I was not often in her presence through the years…her warm & inviting personality had a great impact on me & The same qualities always have shined through in her Son, Chip & her Grandson Calvin (Who I like to call my other son). To know Betty was to love Betty…and I always felt blessed to be in her presence. Rest In Peace Betty, & I know you & Mr D are reunited & dancing again!
