Betty Rehn Gardner's Obituary
Betty Rehn Gardner 94, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017. She was born December 25, 1922 in North Henderson, IL to Wesley A. and Frances (Mead) Rehn. She moved to Fort Myers from Westby, WI in 1997. She and her husband enjoyed their involvement with the Sanibel Shellcrafters. She retired from the NCR Corporation in Viroqua, WI as purchasing agent in 1986. She then worked another 16 years at Walmart in both Viroqua, WI and Fort Myers, FL, before finally retiring in 2008.Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Clair Calvin Gardner in 2015, her sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and Jim Luther and her brother, Russell Rehn. She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Peterson (Dale) of Fort Myers; her grandson, Ryan Peterson and his wife, Shannon, of La Crosse, WI; her sister, Dorotha Betke (William) of Grayslake, IL and her sister-in-law, Barbara Rehn of Brookfield, WI.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in the Fort Myers area may be made to Hope Hospice of Lee County, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908 (www. hopehospice.org). In the Wisconsin area, memorials may be made to Bekkedahl – Bland Hospice House in Viroqua, WI 54665.A memorial service will be held and announced at a later date.
