Betty G. Reagan's Obituary
Betty Jean Galloway Reagan, 81, wife of Leonard, passed away December 28, 2011 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on February 5, 1930 in Asheville, NC to the late Edwin Sr. and Sarah (Taylor) Galloway. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son Leonard Jr., and grandson Leonard III. Betty settled in Lee County in 1979 after stops in Virginia, Georgia, and Florida. She met Leonard while working for Sears and left to be a devoted and loving Wife of 60 years, a wonderful and patient Mother, and a Grandmother beyond description (a role she loved until the end as Grandma Betty, Gram, and Nana). She enjoyed crossword puzzles and crocheting, was a member of Blessed Pope John XXIII, past President of Rotary Ann, and a member of numerous organizations during her lifetime. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 60 years, Leonard; sons and families ?Çô Ron Reagan (Lynn), Jill Healey (Marcus), Bohdi; Ronald Jr. (Susan), Brooke and Ronnie III; Katie O?ÇÖBrien (Matt), Colin; Don Reagan (Heather), Amanda and Andrew; Charlie Reagan, Sean Patrick and Molly Jean; Philip Reagan (Alexandra), Erin Taylor; Leonard Jr.?ÇÖs children Shannon and Andrew; siblings ?Çô Edwin Galloway Jr. (JoDean); Doris Delores ?Ç£Dot?Ç¥ Collier (Neuland); and many nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family. There will be a visitation Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral will be Saturday at 1:00 PM at Blessed Pope John XXIII with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Betty?ÇÖs name may be made to Blessed Pope John XXIII.
