Betty Rose Schmitt's Obituary
Betty Rose Schmitt, 89, of Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was born September 30, 1924 in Streator, IL and moved to Fort Myers in 1960. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the V.F.W., Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose, Beloved Protective Order of Elks and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Mrs. Schmitt leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 67 years, Lyle C. Schmitt; her two sons: Thomas L. Schmitt (Hillary) of Carlock, IL and Jerry R. Schmitt (Jencye) of Fort Myers; her grandchildren: Katrina, Alyssa, Nikolaus, Jamie (Jennie), Jerrad (Megan) and Jesse (Molly) and her two great grandchildren: Hayden and Alexa. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend and was always willing to help others in need. She will be missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, November 18, 2013 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
