Betty Mae Spalding's Obituary
Betty M Spalding (Tibboles), age 83, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away Friday, July 10, 2020. Born March 10, 1937 in Bellevue, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clifford Chase and Clara Hayes (Artino Sowers).
She is survived by her husband: James Robinson of Fort Myers, Florida; two brothers: John Chase (Betty) of Cape Coral and Bill Sowers (Jill) of Bellevue, Ohio; and one sister Kathy Sowers of Cincinnati, Ohio; five children: Jacquie Crockett of Belpre, Ohio; Herb Goss Jr. (Nancy) of Martinsburg, West Virginia; Cyndi Vickery (Kevin) of Punta Gorda, Florida; Arthur Goss (Shari) of Fort Myers, Florida; and Glenn Goss (Jacquie) of Rossford, Ohio; along with 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends; and her beloved cat, Amber Lu.
Betty was very talented artistically and musically. Her hobbies included painting, crafting, singing, sewing, knitting, and reading. She graduated from Owens Community College and served as a registered nurse for many years specializing in geriatric care.
Arrangements are being made through Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at the Bellevue Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gulf Coast Humane Society in Fort Myers, Florida.
