Betty Jane Ziehl's Obituary
Betty Jane Ziehl, age 91, of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully on November 15th 2024. Born in Cleveland, VA, she was the daughter of Cummings Musick and Leatha Edith (Hall Musick) Cantler and Widow of the late Husbands Billie Joe Wyatt and thereafter John Ziehl.
Betty loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be missed dearly. Her career was as a Human Resources secretary at Aberdeen Proving Ground and then for HUD in Baltimore, MD. She supported many veteran groups to include Disabled American Veterans and Wounded Warriors Project. She loved spending time with her many friends and staying in touch with family. Betty was a friend to many who will be fondly and warmly remembered by everybody she knew.
Betty is survived by her son Michael Wyatt and his wife Melodye Wyatt, one grandson Christopher Wyatt and his wife Lareen Wyatt, and two granddaughters Christy J. Wyatt and Kathryn Sudol and her husband Matthew Sudol; and sister, Winnie Irene Eberly. Betty also leaves behind six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and late husbands, Betty was also preceded in death by brothers, Clyde Russell Musick, Earl S. Musick and William James Musick.
Immediate funeral ceremonies are private and Betty's final care is under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded and Betty will thereafter be laid to rest during a private ceremony inside the Field of Honor at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
