Beverly Jean Graydon's Obituary
Mrs. Beverly Graydon gracefully departed with her loving husband and children by her side on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was 75 years old. Beverly preferred to be called Bev. She is survived by her husband Larry Graydon, five sons: Kenneth Goffinet, Michael Goffinet, Joseph Goffinet, Eric Goffinet, and William Graydon; 7 grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews, and her sister, Patrica Gott, and predeceased by her Brother, Donald Craig and Sister, Linda Martin.
Bev was born in South Portland Maine and was the daughter of the late Arthur and Arlene Craig. Although Bev relocated to Florida with her husband, she remained a true New Englander, who loved fishing and the outdoors. She was was married to Larry Graydon for 50 years—and was a profoundly loving wife and mother. Working as certified nurses aide was one her favorite endeavors. Bev was a remarkable woman who was intelligent, kind, selfless, and who possessed a remarkable ability to always find the right balance of strength and love to meet the challenges of life’s difficult moments. Bev loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. She constantly encouraged those around her to pause and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like watching the butterflies, which she enjoyed photographing.
Larry and Bev were truly best friends who shared a life together for over 60 years. Together, they raised 5 five boys, and cultivated a family bond that endures today and will continue for years to come. There is nothing stronger than family—no matter what. Bev taught us how to live and love better, how to forgive and forget when it was necessary, and how to make peace with the world around us, because no matter how dark things seemed, she always came through with a candle—that no wind could ever extinguish—with a smile that could set your heart at ease.
