Bill H. Welch's Obituary
Bill H. Welch of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Friday, October 21, 2022 while under Hospice care following some recent health challenges. He was 87 years old.
Bill was born in St. Joseph, Missouri on May 31, 1935, the proud son to Hazel Marie (Delong) and Earl H. Welch.. He was married to, and leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife Darlene (Sharp) Welch. He also leaves behind his treasured children Cynthia Osterling, Robert H. Welch, Sheri Warfield and Larry G. Welch.
A Visitation for Bill will be conducted from 11:00 AM - 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555, Immediately following the Visitation, Bill will be honored by his fellow members of the Shriners as they perform the Masonic Memorial Ritual. Following that ceremony, a Funeral Service will be celebrated whereby Bill's life, faith and love of family will be honored. Cremation rites will thereafter be accorded and these services are private.
On the following day, Wednesday, November 2, 2022, the family invites everyone to attend Committal Services for Bill which are taking place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. At 2:00 PM inside the Field of Honor Section, active-duty members of the United States Marine Corps will render Military Honors to recognize Bill's contributions to our nation as a member of the Armed Services. At the conclusion of these Honors, final prayers of commendation and committal will be offered and Bill's Urn will be laid to rest inside the Mausoleum.
