Blanche Lee's Obituary
Blanche Santini Townley Lee, a 4th. Generation Native Floridian, was born March 7, 1929, on a houseboat at the end of the first canal on “Crescent Beach” states her birth certificate, now known as Fort Myers Beach. She is believed to be the first girl born on Fort Myers Beach. Her parents were Joseph Cyril and Margaret (Smith) Santini. She passed away on September 2, 2010, at Hope Hospice in Shell Point Village at the age of 81. She was pre-deceased by her parents; her three brothers: Grinnell (Stogie), Elmo (Modie) and Leonard Cyril Santini; two husbands: Arthur James (Doc) Townley, Jr., and Maurice F. (Mo) Lee; a step-son, John Lee and her granddaughter, Jami Lynn. She is survived by her sisters: June Santini Johnson and Frances Santini; her daughters: Marci Hallock of Tillamook, OR and Carla (Charlie) Middleton of Old Town, FL; her sons: Mark (Terry) Townley and Jay Townley, both of Fort Myers Beach; step-daughter, Virginia (Mike) Lopez of Cape Coral; step-sons: George (Diane) Lee of CA and James (Judy) Lee and Christopher (Daena) Lee, all of Texas. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren: Mark, Graydon and Melita Hallock and Dusti and Daniel Middleton and step-grandchildren: Charles, Jason, Lori, Trisha, Debbie, Selena, Marybeth, Danny, Jenna, Ron, Jake and James; nine great grandchildren: Clarece, Mark Jr., Jadyn, Matthew, Mariah, Levi, Avarie, Kylie Ann and Blair Elizabeth Hallock; two step-great grandchildren: Bailey and Nicholas and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and forever friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Community, 5632 Sunrise Dr., Fort Myers with interment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 6 – 8 PM on Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a Scripture Service at 7:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Fort Myers Beach Historical Society or to Hope Hospice.
