Bobby Durrance's Obituary
Bobby Durrance, 84, of North Ft. Myers, passed away on September 18, 2013. He was the son of the late Robert Lee Durrance and Corice Carlton Durrance. He was the 3rd of three children. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edith Durrance and a daughter, Carol Durrance. He graduated from Ft. Myers High School in 1947 and began his career as a Chef, which became his lifelong occupation. He worked at the Snack House for 42 years retiring in 1991. Following retirement he enjoyed traveling in his motor home and enjoyed their grandchildren. He was a member of Bayshore Community Chapel and served as a deacon in the Baptist Church. Bobby was a past president of Good Sam’s Club. In his travels he spread the word through gospel song. In 2000 he proudly formed “The Durrance Boys” with his son, grandson and great grandson he leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Jane; his sons, Mike (Julie) Durrance, Pat (Maria) Durrance and Lee (Susan) Durrance; his grandchildren, Angela (Paul) Nader, Rob (Stacy) Durrance, Steven (Gerta) Durrance, Ryan (Nikki) Durrance, Jennifer Durrance, Jason (Aiesha) Durrance, Father Joseph Fowler, and Jordan (Kinue) Fowler; great grandchildren, Austin Durrance, Jordan Nader, Kaleb Durrance, Cory Nader, Steven Durrance, Madison Brown, Kiley Durrance, Jaxon Durrance, Jude Fowler, Kaden Fowler, Aza Fowler, Addison Fowler. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Bayshore Community Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Hope Hospice of Lee County. The family is being assisted by Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
