Bobby Lee Joiner's Obituary
Bobby Lee Joiner of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 following a sudden illness. He was 87 years old.He was born November 28, 1929 in Polk City, Florida and served with the United States Army as a veteran of the Korean War. Following his military service, Bobby spent 32 years at the United States Postal Service before retiring in 1985 as a Rural Letter Carrier. He also served 15 years with the City of Fort Myers as a Building Attendant at Harborside Convention Center.Mr. Joiner is survived by his devoted wife Theresa (Pruitt) Joiner; his cherished children Bruce Joiner and Marcia Levinsky (Bill); 10 beloved grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his sister Mary Owen (Tommy) and his beloved dog Darby. He also leaves behind a number of extended family members and a multitude of others who were proud to call him a friend. Sadly, he was predeceased in 2009 by his son Bobby “Lee” Joiner.Memorial services will be conducted at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for an hour preceding the service beginning at 4:00 PM also inside the funeral home chapel.
