I first met Bonnie in 1981 and for the next 36 years we remained the best of friends. During this time, she and her dance team were on "The Grand Ole Opry" (twice) and "Hee Haw". She looked at this as being her greatest achievement as a dancer. She even had time to bring her team to Birmingham, on a road trip, where she made many new friends. Actually, her greatest achievement was the many people that she taught to dance and all the lives that she touched. I worked with Bonnie at Resort Quest then she was instrumental in getting me a job with her at the Ft Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce. I loved her energy and passion for life and even though I hadn't seen her in awhile she will be missed. I remember how very beautiful she was , beautiful like my Mama. One afternoon she came by our house , and Mama fixed her all up for a date she was having.
