Bonnie Mae Rose's Obituary
Bonnie Mae (Frederick) Rose, of Fort Myers, passed away at Manor Care on Monday, April 22, 2019. She was 93 years old.Bonnie was born on February 25, 1926 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, the proud daughter of Edna Viola (Brown) Frederick Gold and Charles Thomas Frederick. She was the oldest daughter of 9 children. She was a Registered Nurse who graduated from E.J. Meyer Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, New York and was also a homemaker. She worked at Lee Memorial Hospital as head nurse delivering babies when she and her husband, Paul, Mark, and Marcella moved to Florida in 1960 just in time for Hurricane Donna. Bonnie loved her God, her family, crafts, flowers, music, and all kinds of birds (especially cardinals). She was married to her husband, Paul Rose, for 63 years.She leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Mark Leslie Rose; daughter, Marcella Lynn (Rose) Johnson; her sisters: Joyce L. (Frederick) Berthelson, Marion I. (Frederick) Battles, and Ernestine J. (Frederick) Woods. Bonnie has 5 grandchildren: Clifton Rose, Chavious Rose, Andrea Johnson, Craig Johnson, and Ryan Johnson. She also has 10 great-grandchildren: Dakota, Colton, Joshua, Wyatt, Austin, Clinton, Bailey, Kaylin, Weston, and Chelsee. Sadly, she is preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Paul Leslie Rose; her brothers, Thomas E. Frederick, Leonard G. Frederick, Kenneth C. Frederick, John H. Frederick, and youngest brother, David S. Frederick.A Funeral Service for Bonnie will be celebrated by Pastor Joey Brummett at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 10:00 AM also inside the funeral home chapel.
