Brent L. Finley's Obituary
Brent Lee Finley, 63, passed away suddenly at home on the afternoon of January 19, 2023. Brent was born on March 261959 in Rockford, llinois.
Brent is lovingly remembered and survived by his wife Randa of 20 years; his two sons Trent Finley and his wife Nicole, Travis Finley and his wife Shanae; parents Curtis and Sharon Finley; his brother Brett Finley and wife Carla, and two nephews, Eric and Chris Finley.
Brent loved his fur babies tremendously, which included our 3 dogs, 2 cats. Brent was retired from the State of llinois where he held various positions throughout his career. During these years, Brent
completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Accounting with the University of Phoenix.
Over the years, Brent and Randa spent much of their time traveling. During their travels, they fell in love with "The Sunshine State" and eventually made the move to SW Florida 3 years ago where they were living out their retirement dreams. They enjoyed exploring new places to eat and Brent's favorite places were Bahama Breeze and Nervous Nellie's. Much of their time was spent shark tooth hunting along the Venice Beaches, and fishing at Marco Island with friends Gary and Nikki Brewer. Having been an avid golfer in his younger years, his recent past time was playing at Top Golf. He was also a life-long Dallas Cowboy fan.
A firm lover of routines, Brent was known as "Mr. Fix-it." He was a man of many talents and enjoyed helping others with their home projects. While in high school, he formed "Band O Bros" with his classmates and still enjoyed getting together for jam sessions. He started out playing the drums and had recently taken up playing the bass guitar.
In lieu of flowers, would you please consider a financial donation to assist his wife, Randa, with upcoming expenses. The family is grateful for any support you can offer during this difficult time.
