Brian Travis Burgess' Obituary
Brian Travis Burgess of Fort Myers, Florida passed away suddenly on July 1, 2019 and will be greatly missed by family and his many wonderful friends. He was 57 years old.Brian was born on July 4, 1961 in Flint, Michigan, the proud son to Joyce (Smith) and Lyle Burgess. He spent his working life in the construction trades specializing in paint and finishing and was considered a Master Painter of renovated and new construction. He enjoyed working on and fixing things and doing projects. He loved the sun and things that were beautiful and could even be considered a bit “artsy.” He was very loved by his wife and family and will be warmly remembered by all who knew him.Brian leaves to cherish his loving memory his devoted wife Sara (Williams) Lourey Smith; his loving daughters Alicia Agle (Michael) of Flint, MI and Tara Griffith (Matthew) of Indianapolis; loving step-daughter Kaycee Campbell of Fort Myers and his treasured grandchildren Sydnie, Austyn, Gavin, Conrad and Eloise. He also leaves behind his brother Geoffrey Burgess of Michigan; sisters Valerie Rostek of California and Christine Burgess of Michigan. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Randall Burgess.A Memorial Gathering and Celebration of Life for Brian will be celebrated at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Shamrock Pub, 2201 Estero Boulevard, Fort Myers Beach, Florida 33931, (239) 463-8881.
