Brian Michael Friedman's Obituary
Brian Michael Friedman, 61, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL since the 1980’s, formerly of New York passed away suddenly Friday, September 15, 2023 at Cape Coral Hospital. He was born March 31, 1962 in Frankfurt, Germany.
Brian was a Pioneer in the world of gaming, both tabletop and online. People flocked to be a part of what he did, even asking him to take part in the podcast called Mortality Radio in 2001 as well as test work for the famous Ed Greenwood. His love for computers led him to open his own computer repair shop, “Media Solutions” in Cape Coral but after his life made a turn he had to sell his business and turned to the HVAC field and proceeded to dive into it for the next 30 years. In his spare time when he was not connecting to those who shared his passions, he focused on another one, music. Brian was an enthusiast when it came to rock and roll and to playing his electric guitar, at one point having been part of a band but when he became a single father his focus instead turned on caring for his two children. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Friedman.
Brian is survived by his loving son, Andrew Friedman and his wife, Kansas of Cape Coral, FL; his parents, Marilyn Ashbridge of Hollywood, FL and Brian McKeon of Pennsylvania; one sister, Melissa Friedman D’Angelo of Hollywood, FL; four grandchildren, Michael Trudeau, Jace, Raynor and Aurin Friedman; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
No formal services are planned at this time.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL.
