C. Edward Bishop's Obituary
C. Edward Bishop, 95, a resident of Lehigh Acres, FL since 1986, formerly of Sellersville, PA passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 7, 1928 in Souderton, PA to the late John and Margaret (nee Gehman) Bishop.
Edward was a proud United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in both Pennsylvania and Florida, he served as an Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Lehigh Acres where he also sang with the choir. While living in Florida Edward called BINGO for over 30 years and was the past President of the Senior Center in Lehigh Acres. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 59 years, Margaret “Dolly” Bishop and his daughter, Stephanie Lynn Lynch.
Edward is survived by his loving wife, Estella Bishop of Lehigh Acres, FL; two sons, J. Edward Bishop of Lehigh Acres, FL and Robert Bishop (Alice) of Port Republic, NJ; one step daughter, Emily Shedio (Mitchell) of Lehigh Acres, FL; two siblings, Ken Bishop (Marie) of Telford, PA and Dot Nelson (Ken) of Onalaska, WI; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 9, 2023 at First Presbyterian Church of Lehigh Acres, 60 Bell Boulevard North, Lehigh Acres, FL.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
