Calvin Coolridge Rooker's Obituary
Calvin Coolridge Rooker, 96, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1991, formerly of Seneca Falls, New York passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born November 4, 1924 in Pleasantville, PA to the late Francis and Leonie “Josephine” Rooker.
Mr. Rooker was a proud United States Navy Veteran. Worked at GE Sylvania for many years. If you were up for a golf game, his clubs were always ready and waiting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 77 years, Mary Jane Rooker, of Fort Myers, FL; children, Gary (Robin) Rooker of Seneca Falls, NY; Keith (Irene) Rooker of Seneca Falls; and Pamela (Vincent) Cuviello of Lancaster, NY; one brother, Bruce (Joanne) Rooker of Rochester, NY; one sister, Marie Proudfit of Fairfield, PA; grandchildren, Melonie (Peter) Forget of Chatham, NY; Jeffrey (Melissa) Smith Jr of Kennebunk, Maine; Matthew (Cass) Smith of Maple Valley, WA; and Keith Rooker Jr of Clifton Springs, NY; great-grandchildren is Madison Smith, Aidan Smith, Kalin Smith and Makai Smith; several nieces and nephews.
Calvin was predeceased by his grandson Gary Rooker Jr; brother & sister in-law Jack and Shirley Rooker; brother in-law Roger Proudfit.
Services will be held at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Romulus, NY at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.
