Candida Quevedo's Obituary
Candida Quevedo, 83, of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away on June 5th, 2022. She was born in Guanajay, Cuba on August 29th 1938. and has been a resident of Southwest Florida since 1971.
She cherished spending time with family, especially at the beach and was married to her devoted husband Regino for 62 years prior to his death in 2019. Mrs. Quevedo will be missed greatly by her children, Caridad Valdes and Maritza Reyes; her grandchildren, Melissa Montesino, Marissa Reyes, Milagros Reyes, Grace Valdes, Anibal Valdes, Caridad Chaviano; and her great grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Robert Chaviano, Gloria Chaviano, Leonel Chaviano, Elizabeth Reyes, Gino de la Noval, Sophia Ramos and Christine Valdes.
Funeral Services are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Visitation for Candida will begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday and will continue throughout the evening. A Catholic funeral service will be celebrated by Deacon Jim Tesioreo on Thursday, June 9, 2019 at 10:00 AM inside the Funeral Home Chapel. Following this ceremony, family and guests will recess to the Fountain Garden Section at adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Candida will be laid to rest alongside her dearly departed husband Regino.
