Dear Family, I am Carl’s cousin, Nancy, through his Mother Elizabeth who was my Mom’s twin (Uzdavinis). I am the youngest cousin and am very sorry I was not able to connect with Carl when I tried to do so, several years ago when visiting the Tampa FL area. He was very devoted to Mel, and perhaps my efforts to reconnect overlapped with her passing. We hope he is now with her, in a much happier place. I hope as family we can try to reconnect. I was saddened to hear of Carl’s passing. I hadn’t seen him in many years but have fond remembrances growing up nearby and getting together with the cousins frequently. All recent contact was by snail mail. He definitely died too young, but there is comfort in knowing he will be together with Mel in God’s hands.
