I met Pastor Bob at First United Methodist Church in Fort Myers where he became involved in the Jobs for Life program. He was dedicated to helping others,living by the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. It was a joy to have known him.

Even though I was not at the service I was holding you and your family in my prayers. I did watch on line and heard your daughters speak. I have never been good at taking photos,but truly learned about you and your family from watching all the pictures.Both you and Bob were so kind to me and I always appreciated Bob reminding me to pray for you when he had his setbacks. I am on baby watch in Clearwater, but you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Sorry to hear about Bob. I have known him since I lived in Watertown, SD . He is a wonderful person and a wonderful family and very good friends with the family. He will not have to suffer no more in pain. But he will not be forgotten because of the treasures that we had shared together as friends.Love hugs and pray for the family and hope they get through. Bob is an example of what the Lord can do in and thru the life of a person who is available and has a heart for God. We grew up together in south Minneapolis. If anyone in those days had said, "I can see Bob becoming a pastor someday," we would have laughed. But then Gerrie came along. Wow! Years later Bob would say that Gerrie was his illustration of God's grace - being given the love and acceptance he didn't deserve and could never earn. I imagine there's been quite a celebration going on in heaven this last week. Bob will be missed by many. Sending our love to Gerrie, your lovely daughters and the entire extended family.
Bob and I were friends since childhood. Our families were long time friends, sharing life in Grand Marais, MN every summer. He worked with my dad at the fish house many summers . We will miss him so much. Our love and prayers for the family. Ray and Barb Erickson
Bob and I had a great time growing up since we were both "trailers" of our respective parents. We were each the youngest in our family. Bob was a great pal in our younger years which often included a week or two at "Wallbo" on Lake Superior. Our time was spent playing on the shore and at least once building a raft out of logs that washed up on the shore. While our middle years meant crafting our respective careers, we tried to keep with Christmas greetings. In recent years, we enjoyed being with Bob and Gerrie at their home in Ft.Myers. Bob was always willing to entertain and converse some of my more liberal ideas. I appreciated his openness. I will miss him.
Both Bob and Gerrie have been treasured friends since seminary days at Bethel. The friendship deepened while serving churches in the Dakotas under the Baptist General Conference (Converge) and has continued. We love you, Gerrie and daughters!
