Carlos Rivera, 81, passed away December 20, 2011.?áHe was born May 12, 1930 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Olimpio and Louisa Rivera.?á?á?áHe came to Florida in 1949 where he was a farmer. In addition to his parents, Carlos is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Rosa; step-son Rodolfo Lopes; brothers, Jorge Luis and Efrain. Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Librada Marin, Petra (Domingo) Adame, Sophia Rivera and Carmen Cavazos; sons, Juan (Rafaela) Lopez and Juan (Maria) Rivera; brothers Rafael (Louisa) Santiago and Filipe Santiago; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. There will be a visitation on Thursday at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.?áThe Mass of Christian Burial will be at Our Lady of Light, 1680 Cypress View Drive, Fort Myers on Friday at 10:00 AM.?áInterment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
