Carmel Guido, 84, Ft. Myers FL. and formerly of Naperville, IL. at rest Saturday May 3, 2014, surrounded by family. Born July 6, 1929 in Chicago, IL. Beloved wife of 64 years to Frank, loving mother of Michael (Debra) of Ft. Myers FL., Gia (William) Chorkey, Naples FL. and Mark (Patty) Guido of Naperville, IL.; cherished Nonni to Jason, Justin, Emily, TJ, Trent, Victoria, Michael, Austin, Jordan, Brandon and Great Nonni to Hannah and Ella. Ms. Guido graduated from Wells HS, Chicago IL. in 1946 and attended Columbia College, Chicago, IL. She was a business owner/operator of Chicken Unlimited franchises in Crest Hill, Joliet and Westchester, IL., assistant at 20th Century Fox, Wolf Medical Center and support staff to Dr’s Alan Brown, Vincent Buffalino, Mark Goodwin, among others at Advocate Medical Group, formerly Midwest Heart Speciaists, Naperville, IL. She was also a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Naperville. She touched many lives with her caring, compassion, love of children and instilled a perfect model of selflessness, work ethic, accountability and unconditional love throughout her extended family. She was simply everyone’s best friend…. Visitation will be Wednesday May 7, 2014 at St. Columbkille, 12171 Iona Rd. Ft. Myers FL. 4-7p. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday May 8, 2014 at 11:00a, also at St. Columbkille’s, 12171 Iona Rd. Ft. Myers FL.
