Carol Lee Boyanowski's Obituary
Carol Boyanowski, of Ft. Myers FL, formerly of Harrisburg, PA, passed away peacefully May 21st, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, leadership and faith. She was a devoted and loving wife of 68 years to her husband Jim, making an inseparable couple that was a model marriage for all that knew them. A beloved mother to Karen Snyder and Kevin Boyanowski (Mariann). She was a very proud grandmother of 4 (Brian Snyder (Kate), Elizabeth Snyder, Ron Cabuno (Brittany) and Kelli Cabuno) and a great grandmother of 8.
A meticulous seamstress, Carol especially loved sharing her knowledge and talents with anyone who was interested. The couple also enjoyed trying new restaurants, cooking and baking, listening to music, singing, competitive game nights and Friday get-togethers with their neighbors. Known for her warm personality and infectious smile, her vast network of life-long friends was an inspiration. Above all, Carol treasured time spent with family. She lived most of her life in Harrisburg before retiring to sunny Ft. Myers, where she fully embraced the joys of retirement.
Carol enjoyed a successful career in customer service in Harrisburg before retiring from AMP, Inc after many years of dedicated service. Her strong leadership skills and generous spirit led her to serve in many capacities, always seeking ways to bless others with her talents. Born the eldest of five daughters to Bill and Marie Myers, Carol cherished her sisters: the late Sylvia Luce (Bob), Georgia Branco, Diane Yerxa (Bob) and Maureen Sayre. Carol was an active member of the United Church of Christ, where she faithfully served on various guilds and taught Sunday school. Her faith guided her life and was a source of joy and strength.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Marie Myers, her sister Sylvia Luce and her son-in-law, Jim Snyder. Carol lived life to the fullest and her passing brings great sorrow to those who loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored by donations in Carol’s memory to the Lower Great Lakes Chapter of the National Scleroderma Foundation
(scleroderma.org/LGLDonations ) or to the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
A private family service is being held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. A celebration of life event will be planned for later this year.
