Carol Angela Eblen's Obituary
Carol Angela Eblen of Fort Myers, Florida passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, April 21, 2024 following some recent health setbacks. She was 89 years old.
Carol was born in Springfield, Ohio on September 22, 1934, the proud daughter to William Jeremiah Coffelt and Lyla Mae Powell. She was a longtime resident of Carrabelle, Florida who never met a stranger, whether or not it was human or a stray animal.
Carol leaves to cherish her loving memory her six children: Robin Sheets of Boise, Idaho; Leslie Johnson and her husband Stan of Allen, Texas; Nicky Sheets and his wife Eleanor of McKinney Texas; Kimberli Hall of Fort Myers, Florida; Marty Sheets and his wife Brenda of Fort Myers, Florida and Lydia Eblen-Cassidy and her husband Rodney of Tallahassee, Florida and is also survived by her beloved previous husband Jim Eblen. Carol also leaves behind 18 grandchildren: Bryan Johnson and his wife Stephanie; Shawn Johnson and his wife Rachel; Bentley Johnson and his wife Alisha; Leslie Ann Johnson-Riccitelli and her husband Chris; Wesley Sheets and his wife Patty Jo; Brent Sheets and his long time partner Stacey; Amanda Sheets-Blaschke and her husband Mike; Christan Mowery and his wife Lindsey; Dorrie Mowery; William Hall; Adam Sheets and his wife Zoe; Brendan Sheets and his wife Daryn; Nathan Cassidy his wife Beverly; Shiloh Cassidy; Deborah Cassidy-Howell and her husband Charles; Stephan Eblen and his wife Hailee; Samantha Cassidy; Aurora Cassidy; Lylah Abell and Ruger Abell along with 18 great grandchildren. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her daughter Laurie Sheets-Abell who lived in Haskell, Texas and by her brother Dwight Coffelt.
A Visitation for Carol will take place inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555, from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM on Monday, April 29, 2024. A Funeral Service will be celebrated immediately upon conclusion of this Ceremony beginning at 3:30 PM also inside the Funeral Home Chapel. Following these ceremonies guests will recess the Chapel to Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Carol will be laid to rest in the Mausoleum located at the Chapel of Memories.
