Carol Bugg Gardner's Obituary
Carol Bugg Gardner, 73, of Sanibel, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016. She was born August 26, 1942 in Washington, D.C. to Claude A. and Katie Mae (Goodson) Bugg. She has been a longtime resident of Sanibel, moving here from Alexandria, Virginia in 1988. She was a member of the Village Church.Mrs. Gardner retired from the National Parks Service following 21 years of service. She volunteered for the Sanibel-Captiva Foundation as well as Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge and Ding Darling Wildlife Society. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mrs. Gardner is survived by her nephew and nieces: Kevin Bugg (Trish) of San Diego, CA, Hilary Heath (Charlie) and Pamela Bell (Brigham), both of Louisville, CO and ten great nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her sister-in-law, Valerie Bugg of Louisville, CO and her brother-in-law, Tom Gardner of West Virginia.
