Carol Ward Lee's Obituary
Carol Ward Lee, 82, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2025, five days before her 83rd birthday. Born in Paducah, Kentucky in 1942 and will be laid to rest in her longtime place of residence, Fort Myers, FL. Carol's legacy is a life defined by her faith in God, a strong devotion to family, and a deep love for others.
Carol married the great love of her life, the late Paul Lee, in 1959, beginning a lifelong partnership grounded in deep devotion to each other and shared dreams of hard work and family. Carol was a devoted mother to her sons Brent Lee (Lauren) and Darryl Lee (Lisa). She was a cherished sister to Jean Devenport (Gil), Duane Ward (Kathy), and Len (Sharon) Ward. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Brandon (Amanda), Morgan (Jake), Austin (Rachael), Garrett (Megan), and Marissa (Kai), and her great-grandchildren Emmie, Eden, Elliott, Wyatt, Callum, Harper, Macie, and Alden — all of whom brought her immense joy.
Carol was an outstanding homemaker, a gifted quilter, creative crafter, an avid tennis player and a gracious host at her countryside home in Kentucky — a place that became the heart of many family memories.
A woman of deep faith, Carol lived her values through her generosity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her happiest moments were those spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose lives she touched with her love, laughter, and guidance.
The funeral will be held at 12pm on October 24th, 2025, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with a reception to follow.
