Carol Ann Sammet's Obituary
On Saturday, December 21, 2019, Carol Ann Sammet, loving daughter, sister, grand-daughter, niece, cousin and friend, passed away at age 24. Carol Ann was born June 19, 1995 in Fort Myers, Florida to George and Mary (Bryan) Sammet. She graduated Salutatorian from Southwest Florida Christian Academy in 2013, where she attended since Kindergarten. She received her Bachelor Degree in Health Science from the University of Central Florida in 2017. She was currently committed to her chosen graduate studies program, specializing in Prosthetics and Orthotics at Baylor, College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Carol had a passion for adventure. Her warmth and positivity made a lasting impression on her classmates, teachers, and all who knew her. She found comfort in community with her family and friends. Carol was known for her creativity, her infectious smile, her competitive nature, and her kind spirit. Her heart was in missions and she dreamed of taking her profession abroad.
Carol was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Eugene Bryan and John Charles Sammet. She is survived by her father, George William Sammet, her mother, Mary Catharine (Bryan) Sammet, her brother, William Kent Sammet, and her grandmothers, Marjorie Evelyn (Meanor) Sammet, Ann (Ray) Bryan as well as, loving aunts and uncles (Susan and Bruce Collins, Marie Sammet and Wanda Adams, Cathy Sammet, John Sammet, Tim Bryan, Steve and Sherri Bryan); including, cousins (Tiara Tervo, Joey and Kaylee Collins, Michael Collins, Taylor Sammet, Spencer Sammet, Colin and Pamela Van Dyke, Jason and Jennifer Watkins); extended family and friends.
A time of “Worship and Memory” celebrating Carol Ann will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 at McGregor Baptist Church, 3750 Colonial Blvd. at 4:00 pm, with a reception to follow.

With the outpouring of support Carol received these past several months, the family would be honored knowing Carol’s life will continue to affect someone else in need, as they have been blessed beyond measure.
