Carole A. Avallone's Obituary
Carole A. Avallone, 84, of Estero, passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019. She was born August 2, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of Anthony and Lilly (Corigliano) Lombardi, who preceded her in death. She and her husband moved to Florida from Long Island in 1991. She was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church, was an administrative assistant in her early years, and was an avid Mahjong player.Mrs. Avallone is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Bernie Avallone; her daughters: Donna Avallone of Fort Myers and Lisa Gamblin (Jim) of Estero; her grandchildren: Dylan, Dean and Nicole Gamblin and her sister, Rosemarie Corrao of Commack, NY. She was preceded in death by her son, Bernard Avallone, Jr. in 2008.A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday, April 5, 2019 at St. Leo Catholic Church, 28290 Beaumont Rd, Bonita Springs, FL 34134. Friends will be received from 6 – 8 PM Thursday, April 4, 2019 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Avallone’s name to Hope Hospice at: www.hopehospice.org.
