Carole Lee Gruner, 72, passed away March 22, 2012.?áShe was born September 19, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to the late James and Dorothy (MacMillan) Smothers.?á She came to Lee County in 2000 from Warren Michigan.?áShe taught her children how to love and about being a good Christian.?áShe loved her family, friends and pets and enjoyed shopping and gardening. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved dog, Sparki; daughters, Cheryl Gruner and Marsha Dumas and her husband Brian; sons, David Gruner and Ron Gruner; grandchildren, Sarah, Rachel and Sharon. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, March 24th at 2:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.?áBurial will follow in the Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer?ÇÖs Association at www.alz.org. ?áCondolences may be left online at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
