Carole Johnson's Obituary
Carole Johnson, 82, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2024, after a short illness. Born on May 2, 1942, in Erie, PA, Carole lived a life filled with love, service, and devotion to her community but above all else her family.
She is survived by her children, Sean Johnson of Fort Myers, FL, and Julianne Horrigan (Michael) of Land O’ Lakes, FL. She was a proud grandmother to Logan Horrigan of Tampa, FL, Remlee Vazquez of Lakeland, FL, and Riley Wood of Lakeland, FL.
Carole also leaves behind her siblings: Marilou Trott (Fred), Msgr. Michael McGraw, Patrick McGraw (Cindy), Timothy McGraw (Debbie), and Scott McGraw (Sue), along with many cherished nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Vivian McGraw, and her beloved husband of 56 years, Ken Johnson.
Raised in Erie, PA, Carole also spent time in Chautauqua, NY, before moving to Fort Myers in 2000. She was a faithful and active member of Cypress Lakes United Methodist Church and a dedicated volunteer at Gulf Coast Medical Center.
Carole found joy in cooking, helping others, and spending time with her family. Her warmth, kindness, and giving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Carol’s life will be held 11:00, Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at Cypress Lakes United Methodist Church with a light lunch to follow.
