Carrie Lynne Friedel's Obituary
Carrie Lynne Friedel, 52, of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026. She was born on October 28, 1973, in Cleveland, Ohio, the beloved daughter of Robert Allen “Bob” Friedel and Linda Marie (Hotz) Friedel.
Carrie spent her early years in Parma, Ohio, before her family moved to Hinckley. She graduated from Hinckley High School at the remarkable age of 17 and went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University. More than twenty years ago, Carrie made Fort Myers her home, embracing the sunshine, waterfront lifestyle, and community she came to love. She was of the Catholic faith.
From the time she was four years old, Carrie found joy on the water. She loved waterskiing—a passion that followed her throughout her life—and she cherished every moment spent boating, whether surrounded by friends, basking in the Florida sun, or enjoying the peaceful solitude of the water. Adventurous at heart, she also loved skydiving, a pursuit that reflected her fearless spirit and enthusiasm for life.
She is survived by her parents, Bob and Linda Friedel of Fort Myers; her significant other, Mike Morgan of Fort Myers; her brother, Robert Allen Friedel, and his wife, Megan, also of Fort Myers; and her adored dog, Genneva Rae, who was her constant companion.
All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
