Karon Herbst
Kay (Catherine) was so energetic and full of life. My husband and I met her while we were on a walk near her home. She was working in her yard. We visited and she shared stories of her life. Sometimes she would give us a few delicious oranges from her trees.I loved looking at her dolls and other treasures she'd collected throughout her life. It was interesting to hear about how she'd acquired them. I enjoyed hearing about her orange trees and her experiences while selling Christmas trees. She was "crafty" doing various projects like painting. Mostly, I enjoyed just sitting and visiting with her, watching the traffic pass by.She taught me about Biofreeze after I managed to walk into fire ants. She immediately treated my bites. THANKS! I think of her when I am bitten and treat them with the Biofreeze. She invited us to share dinner and conversation with her son and granddaughter which was an enjoyable evening. She also visited us at our home.I was impressed by her love of life and her family. Although I only knew her a few short years, I was saddened to learn of her passing. My condolences to Robert and Christine. She loved you both very much.
