Celeste Hiel's Obituary
Celeste Hiel of Punta Gorda, FL passed away on the morning of June 17, 2022 after an extended illness. Celeste, 57 was born on June 5, 1965 to Robert and Marion Hiel and was the youngest of her three siblings. Celeste graduated from Medina Sr. High School, Medina, OH in 1984. Celeste worked at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI and as a hostess and waitress in Southfield and Royal Oak, MI before being stricken by rheumatoid arthritis at an early age.
Celeste is preceded in death by her father, Robert Hiel. She is survived by her mother, Marion Hiel; her sister, Cheryl Surgeon; brother-in-law, Dave Surgeon; nieces: Natalie Surgeon, Valerie Surgeon and husband Gene Knoll; niece, Stefanie Surgeon and great niece, Rylie Surgeon. She is also survived by her brother, Mark Hiel; nephew, Robbie Hiel; and brother, Kirk Hiel; nephew Kirk Hiel, Jr. and wife, Patti Hiel; great nieces, Julie Hiel and Elizabeth Hiel. Celeste is also survived by several cousins, aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, FL in August, 2022. Date and time forthcoming.
