When I was bullied in Elementary School, Charlies was the only person that ever stood up for me and asked if I was okay. Truly emotionally cognizant beyond his years. I will never, ever forget that.

He was my dad, one of my favorite memories was when I was with him he left his car keys in the car and it was locked and we had to call the people that help with that and he was really embarrassed

I met Charles by happen stance. I was going to give a mutual friend of ours tickets to a convention in Knoxville. He sent me to Charles and it just happened that the convention was right across from his hotel he was chef at. We met to exchange tickets. He fed me and my wife and 6 month old and we had been friends ever since. He's been to my place twice coming through from TN to FL. He's always held a special place in my heart. A guy that would give you the shirt off his back. I still owe him $100 that he gave me to help me out. And I will donate that to whatever I can. My big chuckle! I'll miss you so much. My wife sent me this obit at work and refused to open it til I got home. I love you brother! I'll see you on the other side. Til Valhalla and have a beer ready for me when I get there. I love you man and I miss you!
