Charles H.M Bunney's Obituary
Charles H.M. Bunney, 73, of Cape Coral Florida, died on November 21, 2021, following recent health complications.
Charles was born October 8, 1948 in Toronto, Ontario Canada. He was part of a loving family consisting of George and Mercy (Legge) Bunney, two brothers (Jerry and Ross) along with three sisters,(Arlene, Linda and Elizabeth).
Charles devoted over 30 years of his life to the United States military. Through his years of service he earned many awards and decorations, including Air Force Commendation Medal and many more medals of honor.
In addition to Charles' military accomplishments, he valued education earning masters' degrees in Psychology and Education.
He is survived by his partner of many years Roberta Irion, two sisters, Linda Jay, Elizabeth Van Dyke, and one brother Jerry Bunney.
He is also survived by his wife, Karnchana, and from this union, two daughters, Shirley Ann Oppenheimer (Toby), Nongratana Friends (Jay), grandsons James and Miles Oppenheimer and a great granddaughter, Zoey Elizabeth Oppenheimer.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ross, sister, Arlene Fraiser, and niece, Deborah Kartrel.
Charles also leaves his loving memory with his cherished special friends John Lane and Ruth Johnson.
There will be a funeral service for Charles on December 11, 2021. Visitation time will begin at 11 AM and immediately following a chapel service will begin at 12 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33907.
