Charles M. Hunt, 86, passed peacefully from this life on Monday night, April 12th at his home in Fort Myers, Florida with his family by his side. He was a Christian and a member of the Southside Church of Christ and has been a So Read Obituary
Charlie's family and mine go way back. His father was the only witness at my parents' marriage in 1933. I loved Charlie's stories about growing up in Tupelo with Elvis Presley and then encountering him on a train when he was headed to the Navy and Elvis was headed to the Ed Sullivan Show. Charlie was such a fine person, always friendly. I send my love and condolences to his family.

Charley made our day every time he walked by our house and gave us his special wave! He stopped to talk and was genuinely interested in us, our family and how our day was going. We grinned from ear to ear when he walked away after our chats. His warmth and love for Christ and others was quite evident and impressive. We will miss him very much. Even when he was feeling lousy, he smiled, he left us feeling special and his unique wave of his hand just made our day. He made us smile and still does. We will think of him the rest of our lives because he is a very special man and leaves with us his wonderful, kind spirit. Jane, you are a special woman who was loved so much. When he talked of you, it was with love, warmth and respect for you and your life together. May God be with you and may you be able to draw on the precious moments together to find peace and comfort knowing he is in heaven, free from pain and eternally in the presence God.
