Charles R. Parker's Obituary
Charles “Ray” Parker passed away peacefully on August 2, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Georgian, his daughter Debora White, her husband David and his grandson, Parker White. Ray was born May 27, 1928 in Jacksonville, FL. He was proud to be a third generation native Floridian. After his service in the Army during World War II, he had a 30 year career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and received many commendations as a surveyor in the Florida Everglades. After retirement, he became a devoted and very active 25 year volunteer for Lee Memorial Health System.Ray loved the Lord, his family and his country. He was a true patriot who supported America’s military in every way possible. The American Flag flew proudly wherever he lived. Services will be held at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens on Friday August 12, 2016. Visitation at 10 am. Services at 11 am. In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to any organization devoted to the help and support of America’s military veterans.
