Charles A. Picciano's Obituary
It is with deepest sorrow we report the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved Charles A. Picciano on June 1, 2026 in Fort Myers, Florida. Born February 11, 1945 in Cleveland, raised in Euclid, and lived in Mentor, Ohio before moving to Florida, escaping the cold to happily spend his retirement shoveling sunshine.
Chuck was a 1963 graduate of Euclid High School, where he played Varsity football and baseball and was Captain and star of the bowling team. Also an accomplished musician, Chuck played saxophone and sang with his band on the weekends after graduation.
He served with honor in the National Guard and spent his career as a technician with Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company.
A big guy with an even bigger heart, Chuck was joyful and jovial and generous to a fault. He loved sports, fishing, animals, music from the 50’s and 60’s, and -- above all else -- adored being Dad to his four children, Charles II (Manilyn), Michael (Nina), Concetta, and John, and a proud Grandpa to Clara, Zachary, and Zoe.
Preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Picciano, Chuck was an irreplaceable light taken too soon from our lives. He will be greatly missed and forever cherished in colorful memories by his sons and daughter and daughters in-law and grandchildren, as well as by his big brother John and sister Amy, his many dear friends, and his Sweetheart and Fiancée, Nancy Hutton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 12:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907. His family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the start of the service. Entombment will follow.
The service will be livestreamed on Memorial Gardens’ website and available afterwards on demand.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
