Charles L. Raugh's Obituary
Charles L. Raugh, 95, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on February 1, 2014 at Heartland Health Care of Fort Myers, Florida. Mr. Raugh was born on November 1, 1918 in Toledo, Ohio, a son of the late John Allen Raugh and Olive Marguerite Spafford Raugh. Charles was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Pharmacology. Mr. Raugh and his wife opened a Drug Store in Mars, Pennsylvania which the owned and operated for many years. He was always active in his community and church serving in various capacities. He was a talented musician and loved playing the piano, covering all types of music including jazz, classical, big band and Dixieland. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving his country proudly and faithfully as a Med Tech and operated a Medical Aid Station in N.E. Italy. He was of the Free and Accepted Masons and the Araba Shrine. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 73 years, Martha Hershey Raugh of Fort Myers, Florida; his children, Lana (Robert) Tober of San Jose, California and Dr. Charles Allen Raugh of Falls Church, Virginia; his grandchildren, Dr. Diane Margaret Tober and Eric (Elena Konstantinova) Tober; his great grandchildren, Hunter Durnford and Tucker Durnford, Alex Tober and Andrie Tober. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery at 1:00PM. Pastor Roger Peterson will officiate. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8463 of Cape Coral, Florida. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
