www.fortmyersmemorial.com.Charles E. Thompson, Jr., 85, of North Fort Myers, FL, went to be with the Lord on July 24, 2012. He was born on September 1, 1926 in Albany, GA and was raised in Punta Gorda, FL. He moved to North Fort Myers from West Hollywood, FL in 1961. He served the United States Navy during World War II and retired from Florida Power and Light Company in 1986 following 38 years of service. Mr. Thompson leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Linda N. Thompson of North Fort Myers, Gwynn E. Hale (Eddie) of Ozark, Missouri and Paul Thompson of North Fort Myers; his siblings: Lill Crutchfield of Panama City, FL, Faye Mansfield of Arcadia, FL, Jean Terry of Kentucky and Ron Thompson of Naples, FL; his grandchildren: Darrick (Samantha), Heather, Josh and Kaitlyn and two great grandchildren: Jaidlyn and Baylee and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Charles?ÇÖ life will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military rites conducted by the V.F.W.
