Charlotte Ann Starrett's Obituary
Charlotte Ann Starrett of Fort Myers, Florida, passed away in her home, Monday, April 25, 2016. She was 73. Charlotte was born September 15, 1942 in South Shore, Kentucky, the beautiful daughter of the late Winston Gorden and Mondalee Bretz. Her heritage runs deep in the hills of Kentucky as her grandmother was a Hatfield of the infamous Hatfield and McCoy’s. She moved to Fort Myers in 1983 and has been actively involved in the community volunteering her time and talents with several organizations. Charlotte was a volunteer with the United Methodist Church Women’s Auxiliary where she visited patients in nursing homes and hospitals. She was also active in Z4 Ministries and volunteered 10+ years at San Carlos Park Food Bank. She also loved animals and volunteered 8+ years with the Haven on Earth Animal League where she tended to the needs of the animals and adopted a few into her home. She had a loving and caring spirit who will be dearly missed. Charlotte leaves behind her husband of 44+ years, Lorin Vincent Starrett; her children, Cathy Donini (Tim) of Fort Myers, Florida, Kevin Glispie (Dinah) of Waverly, Ohio, Keith Glispie (Jamisue) of South Shore, Kentucky, Kyle Starrett (Carlee) of Glassboro, New Jersey, Mona Murray of Dallas, Texas, Linda Heater of Columbus, Ohio and Renee Camper of Fort Myers, Florida. She is also survived by a brother Mike Bretz (Barbara) and Debbie May (Clif) all of South Shore, Kentucky. She is the loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren; Jordan and Bethany, April and Amber, Matthew, Drew, Roddy, Christie, Natalie and Nicolas, Christopher, Bradley, Ashton, Michael, Lauren and Haley. In addition she is the dear great grandmother of 3, Kylie, Bailey, Bryson and Dani. Immediate funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
