Christopher J. Reed's Obituary
Christopher J. Reed, 85, of Lehigh Acres, FL, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. He was born September 8, 1933 in Manchester, CT and moved to Florida in 1959. He was in the Special Forces of the U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean War from 1949 – 1958. He was a member of the Eagles Nest Church; past president of Lee County Boys Baseball and past president of the Tice Tigers Pop Warner Football. He owned and operated C.J. Reed Trucking Co. and C & D Enterprises.Mr. Reed is survived by two sons: John Christopher Reed, Sr. (Dee) of Lehigh Acres and John Alexander Reed (Cathy) of Stout, OH; his siblings: Jane Jackson, Edward Reed, Christine Mudge and Elizabeth Fabie. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 47 years, Dorothy E. Reed in 2004.Visitation for family and friends will be on Friday, November 9, 2018 in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
