I knew Claire through the Democratic Women’s Club of Lee County. What I will always remember of Claire was her smile – and her laugh. She might’ve been tiny but her smile covered her whole face. She was a lovely woman and I enjoyed her company. She will be missed.

Constance Pirone lit a candle in memory of Claire Elizalde
I knew Claire as a neighbor and as a fellow board member of the Democratic Women's Club where she served as secretary and as proof reader of the DWC newsletter for several years. Given her educational background, there wasn't a more appropriate member for those tasks. But in addition to her eye for detail, Claire always added such good humor to whatever job she did. Her wonderful laugh added lots of joy to our Board meetings. She's missed.
