Clara (Glovich) Coddington's Obituary
Clara (Glovich) Coddington, age 101, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2016.Clara was born on October 17, 1914 in Amsterdam, New York and thereafter moved to Freehold, New Jersey with her parents Anthony and Anna (Kaupelis) Noricka, her brother Charles and sister Sylvia. She married Anthony (Tony) Glovich in 1932 and together had two children Donald and Edward. After the death of her husband Tony in 1989, she later married Howard Coddington and moved to Lake Panasoffkee, Florida where they owned and operated Coddington’s Restaurant for several years. Howard died in the winter of 2006 and Clara moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 2008.Her greatest love was that of nature’s beauty. She was a master gardener bringing color and life to every place she lived, with a profusion of flowers and plants that were loved by the birds and butterflies of the local area. She was active and was greatly loved and admired by friends and family.Clara is preceded in death by her loving son Edward Glovich, brother Charles Noricka and sister Sylvia Noller. She is survived by her son Donald A. Glovich and wife Marlene; granddaughter Jo Anne Greenwell and husband Larry; grandson Edward Glovich and wife Sandy; daughter-in-law Ann (Glovich) Ranaldi and husband Gus and her great grandchildren Justin, Joseph, Robert, Anthony, Zackary and Sarah. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews and a number of extended family members and many friends.A Memorial Service for Clara will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Friends will be received for an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 1:00 PM.
