Clarence "Skip" Russell's Obituary
Clarence W. (Skip) Russell, 66, of Fort Myers, FL passed away peacefully on November 26th at Joann’s House in Bonita Springs, FL. Skip was a longtime fan and advocate of Little League Baseball in San Carlos Park. He co-founded San Carlos Little League in 1986, where he coached for many years. Spending time at the field with friends and family, teaching kids not only baseball, but how to be a good person as well, is what he enjoyed most. Skip was an Electrical Contractor his entire life, first in Fort Lauderdale then in Fort Myers, until retiring in 2007. Skip was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Russell in 2011 and a sister, Sylvia Vallone. He is survived by his wife Patti, and his son Jeff (Carissa). The light of his life are his 3 grandchildren, Kileigh Russell, Kaeden Russell and Jakob Frentz. He is also survived by two sisters, Vicki Cates of Kansas City MO, and Patty Pagan (Melvin) of Owensboro KY, as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 5pm – 7pm Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Blvd. Fort Myers, FL 33907. Funeral Ceremony will be 4pm Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Skip’s honor are suggested to San Carlos Little League, PO Box 990 Estero, FL 33967.
